I suppose it was in the early 90ies when I was infected by the “Swirl-virus”. I remember after the successful Whitesnake album “Slip of the tongue” the guitar player Steve Vai recorded and released his long-awaited solo album. What can I say, the music was exceptional, but that was not my primary point of interest. What a great looking guitar on the front cover. I’ve never seen anything like that before. I got home, took my old classic guitar to the garage of my parents and tried to paint it with spray cans the way the JEM of Steve was looking. As you can imagine, the guitar was totally ruined when I was finished and I can also remember seen her standing on the street ending on the bulk garbage.

About 19 years later, this virus infected me again (in fact it never really left me) and I decided to build my own personal custom Swirl JEM guitar. Sad to say, that no one in Germany was able to do such a paint job. And worse no one was even able to tell me how to do such a paint job. I did a lot of research about paint and chemicals and in early 2009 the first JEM body was swirled. I finished my personal JEM guitar later this year and I call her “JEM Revelation”, because that’s what she is.

After I have finished the JEM Revelation, I thought about the fun I had building this guitar and I thought about all the work I did in my researches. I counted one and one together and decided to start a custom paint and swirl service. The first one in Germany, by the way.

We already swirled furnitures (tables, chairs etc.), parts of cars and motor bikes, motorcycle helmets, pictures, frames and much more. Believe me, when I tell you, there’s no limit.
